Author Meets Challenges of Life on the Mission Field Head on

New memoir chronicles her many surprising miracles and victories

In Margaret A. Register's compelling new memoir, the author describes her experiences of loneliness, fear, frustration, and failure, along with surprising miracles and victories. She learns that she does not want to be what she dubs a "plastic saint"--that is, brittle and hollow and stuck in neutral instead of real, transparent, and pliable.

Says Register, "How does God call a person to become a missionary and cope with foreign foods, different customs, and learn to fit in? You'll see! A missionary for 38 years, Register ministered in various countries and on television programs that continue to reach 200 countries on 14 satellites even today. The author walked through despair after she, her husband, and their two children departed their homeland for Latin America to help serve God and others.
