LONGWOOD, FL -- Bloody Bar Kochba ($16.99, paperback, 9781612159256; $26.99, hardcover, 9781613790052) is an exciting and educational story based on historical facts about one of the most important and least known historical occurrences. Author DurstOla tells the story about Abraham, an agnostic Jew from Moscow and Miriam, a French Orthodox Jew. The couple meets in Paris after painful circumstances concerning the murder of their siblings by the KGB. Together, they discover their common ancestors, Rabbi Akiva and General Bar Kochba, key figures in the Second Jewish Revolt (132 A.D. - 135 A.D.).

In Bloody Bar Kochba, readers will learn about this important historical occurrence which continues to influence our lives today.  During their journey, the pair learns about the historical battle between Jews and Romans that caused by the final split between Traditional and Messianic Jews. After their wedding, Abraham and Miriam move to the new State of Israel and defend Israel's freedom. Bloody Bar Kochba portrays the message that people can discover a spiritual inner peace through a series of tragedies.
