MAITLAND, FL—Alan Slater’s new book Just Keep on Knocking, The
Stuff’s In There ($16.99, paperback, 9781498497831; $8.99, eBook, 9781498497848) describes
a journey filled with determination, courage and faith. From the quaint sides
of the Pennines in the U.K. to the picturesque Okanagan Valley, Slater’s
journey is fast moving with stops along the way where open secrets of wisdom
are explained in a concise and clear manner.
When we live in a way that is pleasing to the Lord, He will then use us
for His Kingdom and for His glory in accordance with His will and eternal
purpose. This is a true story of how a young couple found that God is faithful
and wants to walk with anyone who is willing to be completely given over to His
will.
Slater
says, “God is never old news. If when we experience His power, His presence and
see His hand working in our lives, we have a responsibility to share this
reality with the next generation. God does still work mighty miracles!”
Alan
Slater was born and raised in Cheshire, England. He married his wife Pauline in
1965, and they have been serving the Lord since they were teenagers. They served as vocational missionaries as well
as associate pastors for a total of forty-two years. They have two grown
children and five grandchildren. They reside in British Columbia, Canada. These
stories are glaring evidence that God is still deeply involved in the lives of
everyday, ordinary people.
