MAITLAND, FL—Karen Hartley’s new book The Eagle Will Rescue Me, Mama!” ($16.49,
paperback, 9781498497275; $8.99, eBook, 9781498497282) was written to let everyone
know how wonderful her son is and to help other parents through the process of
raising an autistic son. Hartley also wants to acknowledge the God of our faith
and the many people in our community that helped us give our son a wonderful
childhood. Hartley shares the benefits of faith in God and a loving, local
church as well as prayer to sustain you and your child through difficult times
dealing with disabilities of astronomical proportions.
Hartley
says, “This book is written with honesty and forthrightness with the only
purpose to tell the life story of this child and the difficult circumstances
surrounding him, so that other parents will find the encouragement to love and
protect their child too.”
Karen
Hartley has been a mother for 40 years and has raised 3 wonderful children. She
has spent 27 years loving and nourishing an autistic son with muscular
dystrophy. Hartley has been through diagnosis, public education, psychiatrists,
MD clinics, State Medicaid services, legal judicial system on abuse to the
disabled, assisted living facilities and group homes.
