LONGWOOD, FL--In her past, Xulon Press author Mona Lisa Tucker was shackled by fear, rejection, neglect, loneliness, heartbreak, confusion, guilt, and shame. After coming to God and learning to be obedient to His guidance and instruction, the author gained control over all that had controlled her. Now, in her new release, The Restorer: Living Free from the Guilt and Shame of Your Past ($15.99, paperback, 978-1-60477-097-1), she shares with readers her desire to see other young girls, teens, and women set free from the chains that life has put on them either willingly or unwillingly. Within the pages of this book, she has opened up her soul to let readers know that no matter what, God can and will bring them back to the original purpose He had planned for their life, if they only believe.

"[My book] unveils the deep, dark, dirty secrets women wish to mask with smiles and bury with the business of life," the author says. "[Secrets] such as addictions, teen and adult domestic violence, parenting trials and eras, sexual abuse and many other hidden agendas. Therefore, I have taken off my mask and revealed the real me to encourage and motivate people, especially women to take the necessary steps towards a new life in Christ. For you can not conquer what you do not confront."

A dedicated wife, mother, and woman of God, Tucker is involved in various ministries specific to evangelism and ministry to women. Drawing on her own experiences and those of others, her writings in this book will restore the broken and tattered areas of readers' lives as they allow her words to minister healing and comfort. "[My book is] a true reality of the societal issues that numerous women and families are facing on a daily basis," she explains.
