Before she passed away in 1991, Schluter left a loving legacy for her sons as they settled into their families and successful careers. It was her wish that these tender and intimate love letters--written as though directly from God--would touch many other hearts with God's abiding love and grace.

Bonnie G. Schluter was born in Larose, Louisiana. She graduated from Louisiana State University with a B.S. in home economics education. In 1952, she married Robert Schluter, who is retired from the U.S. Department of Defense, Defense Contract Management Agency. The Schluters have three sons and six grandchildren.
