LONGWOOD, FL--In Barsabbas ($16.99, paperback, 978-1-61579-058-6), an exhilarating new novel from Xulon Press author Chuck Antone, Jr., readers will be whisked away to the days of Jesus Christ in a story that takes place during His Resurrection and Ascension. Within the pages of this book, readers will find a tender love story between Barsabbas, in whose place Jesus was crucified, and Mary Magdalene, from whom Jesus cast out the seven demons. The love story concerns not only Barsabbas and Mary Magdalene, but also their love for Jesus Christ. Every evening Jesus comes to a group of believers for forty days to preach, teach, and have fellowship with them.

"There are many people who enjoy Christian fiction," the author says. "This book is not only fiction, but also a teaching from the book of Mark as told by Jesus in the first person. [It will] encourage readers to share Christ and to know the love of Jesus."

Although Barsabbas is his first fiction novel, Antone has written many other books about his experiences in sharing Christ, including You've Got to Be Kidding, Lord, You Want Me to Tell Who About You? An ordained minister, he has helped start churches across the world, smuggled Bibles into mainland China with his wife, and did outreaches in many countries. In this, his first novel, he hopes to further his life's work of witnessing to and sharing Christ with the lost.

Chuck Antone, Jr., currently resides in Kailua Kona, Hawaii.
