Dianne Boyd is a native of Macon, Georgia. During her childhood years, she drew, read, and wrote poetry. Growing up, she read the works of great poets. She was inspired by Gwendolyn Brooks, Helen Steiner Rice, and Maya Angelou, whose works had a profound effect on her decision to become a writer. Her poems are inspired by her view of the ever-changing world. She believes that everyone can be a pillar of support in making things happen, and that it all depends on the choices made.
