LONGWOOD, FL-Within the pages of Xulon Press author Shirley M. Forsen's new title, Diagramming the Scriptures: Systematic Approach to Sentence Diagramming ($21.99, paperback, 978-1-60957-265-5), the author presents a unique way--through sentence diagramming--to help focus the Bible student on the words and meanings of Scripture. Every word in a sentence or verse has a certain place in a diagram. This "blueprint" helps the reader to see or understand what has been written; the end product is a solid foundation of the English language.

"The value of knowing the Bible is inestimable," the author says. "Without knowledge of the Bible, understanding of literature, music, law, history, and government is limited. William McKinley, the twenty-fifth president of the United States said, 'The more profoundly we study this wonderful book, and the more closely we observe its divine precepts, the better citizens we will become and the higher will be our destiny as a nation.'"

Forsen, who became a Christian when she was 10 years old, studied the Bible intensely as a student at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri; William Jewell College in Liberty; and Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. After graduating, she worked as an English teacher for 30 years. It is her hope that this book will help students break the Bread into edible bites for easier digestion--and to lay a firm foundation for speaking and writing the English language.
