LONGWOOD, FL--So often the news only dwells on events that have occurred but offers little help in dealing with them. As reports of widespread tragedies grow more dramatic and disturbing, so too does the fear encompassing all Christians. That was why Xulon Press author Max L. Young sat down to pen his new title, Must Fear Prevail? Are the Biblical "Fear Not's" Relevant Today? ($15.99, paperback, 1-59467-682-8) By utilizing the message contained within God's Word, this book aids readers in finding the needed help to carry them through the problem times with comfort and assurance.

"My desire is that each one who reads this book will gain peace of heart as they face disturbing situations, first of all by forgiveness of their own sins and assurance of eternal salvation, then also by recognizing God's day by day provision for those who put their trust in Him," the author says.

Living through the Great Depression; World War II; and times of great economic, scientific, and technological change, Young has seen life from a broad perspective. Near the start of the Second World War, he began teaching Sunday school and was soon involved in other ministries, all of which required extensive Bible study. It is out of one of these series of studies that this book was prepared. It is the author's hope that this book will "pass on to others some of the lessons that so aptly deal with difficulties we all experience," he says.

Max L. Young and his wife, Caroline, have been continuously under doctrionally sound Bible teaching for 42 years in their church in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and now for 17 years in Deltona, Florida.
