LONGWOOD, FL--Journey deep into the Word of God in Xulon Press author Beth Armstrong's faith-filled new release, What's Prayer Got to Do With It? ($13.99, paperback, 978-1-60647-905-6; $21.99, hardcover, 978-1-60647-945-2) This book features practical, applicable information that is relevant to the issues we grapple with today. By peering into the prayers of the men and women of the Bible, it answers the following questions: What does this prayer have to do with me? How can it help me and my circumstances? How can I draw nearer to the heart of God?

Says Armstrong, "My heart's desire is to see people grow spiritually. I want readers to catch a glimpse of how great our God is, how He desires to have a relationship with us, and how we can cultivate this relationship by having a conversation with Him. I would love for God to use this book to create a hunger and thirst for more of Him in personal lives and in the life of the local church."

Armstrong, currently a stay-at-home mom, cites What's Prayer Got to Do With It? as her first book and says that the idea for it stemmed from a course she taught at church for which she wrote the curriculum. "As coordinator of adult education at my church, I frequently teach courses that I write curricula for," she explains. "I've witnessed firsthand the struggles people face with prayer: How do I pray? What do I say? I'm too busy to pray! [This book] is my solution to the struggles we face regarding prayer."

Beth Armstrong is a former high school teacher and coach. She currently resides in Kansas City, Missouri.
