LONGWOOD, FL--Many negative things are portrayed on television, in newspapers, and in everyday life. All of the morality in the world is gone, and there is no respect. People live as if there is no God; God didn't mean for it to be this way. Within the pages of Divinely Guided ($16.99, paperback, 978-1-60957-925-8), a new devotional title from Xulon Press, author James Odom writes about things that will encourage people, put a smile on their face, and change their way of thinking. Anyone who purchases this book and believes God's words will never be the same.

"We are supposed to treat people the same way that Jesus did," the author says. "Think of what this world would be like if people were nice to each other. When you read this devotional every day, you will never be the same. There is a lifeline that you can hold on to."

This is the first book for James Odom, who was born and raised in Perrine, Florida. He had been writing for a long time, but he never took it seriously. It wasn't until listening and praying to God that he found out what He wanted him to do--pen a book filled with all of the many topics God spoke to him about. "Each of these topics I wrote about is part of our lives, things that we will go through," he explains. "We may not understand it now, but we will just keep living. We are all in training now."
