LONGWOOD, FL--Within the pages of Walking with God in Broken Places and Lessons I've Learned Along the Way! ($26.99, paperback, 978-1-61215-143-4) a new title from Xulon Press, co-authors John La Noue, D.Min, and Kaywin La Noue, Ph.D., reveal how they have seen God at work in disaster situations around the world. Written over a span of 40 years, this book records actual experiences serving in dangerous places during times of crises. Additionally, this book details the beginning of the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Program, which is now the third largest disaster response group in America, and reveals the mostly unheard of faith-based response to domestic and international crises in places such as Iran, North Korea, Serbia, and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

"I want people to have a stronger faith in God and a vision of how He can use them to help a hurting world," the co-authors say. "It is a book of actual experiences serving in dangerous places, not theories. It is about how God responds to our crises. It is information that you will never see in the media."

"Dr John" was born and raised in Texas and educated at Stephen F. Austin State University, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his family have traveled the world helping people in disasters for the last 40-plus years. "Dr. L" was born in Illinois and entered the entertainment field at three. She received degrees from Stephen F. Austin State University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
