LONGWOOD, FL-A new book, On the Road to Glory (paperback, 978-1-60477-460-3;hardcover, 978-1-60477-461-0), "examines the possibilities of ministry service beyond the threshold of salvation," says author Barry Jenkins. A true-life story of a journey from "self-seeking determination to God-seeking availability," the book chronicles how the author went from being an aircraft design engineer to serving as a pastor.

Through this book the author hopes readers "find encouragement to follow the Lord's leading with respect to his or her vocation." He hopes they understand "God can and will use anybody, regardless of challenges or less-than-perfect past decisions." He recommends readers take note of God's leading and compare His leading to their personal choices.

In the course of his life the author has worked as a musician, an aircraft mechanic, an aircraft design engineer, a computer merchant and a pastor. Through it all he has found that helping others is the most important and fulfilling thing he could ever do. He hopes readers will find this same fulfillment in service to God and others.

Barry Jenkins has been employed by the Lockheed Corporation of California. He has also served as a licensed, ordained pastor in California for a number of years.
