LONGWOOD, FL--Physical, mental, financial, geographical, and hereditary problems have plagued individuals since the beginning of time--but for most people, fear is their biggest underlining problem. Within the pages of her new Xulon Press book, I Am Not Afraid of the Boogey Man: Overcoming the Spirit Fear ($14.99, paperback, 978-1-60957-322-5), author Darlene Wade uses her own life story to illustrate how fear operates and how God brought her out of it through the power of prayer and faith. By unveiling the reality of how the spirit of fear works and challenging readers to rearrange their thinking, the author's book allows for readers to be empowered by the revelation brought forth on the subject of fear and its tactics.

"My book is newsworthy because parents are still beating their children for bedwetting and there are thousands of children still suffering with fear because of it," the author says. "Also, others are living in fear due to various reasons. This book educates. It talks about how a girl who was severely abused in childhood because of bedwetting, grew up horribly afraid of life and eventually rose above it."

Darlene Wade--who is a multi-gifted conference speaker, psalmist, pastor, church-planter, counselor, and author--wrote this book to help readers overcome the oppressive spirit of fear and live in freedom. "I want to educate those who are still fearfully bound about the tactics fear uses to hinder their progress in life," she explains. "Thereby setting them free from its grip."
