LONGWOOD, FL--Colleges and universities do not offer courses or degrees in wisdom and governments do not have departments of wisdom to guide the actions and decisions of presidents and government officials. Due to a pervasive lack of wisdom, federal, state, and local governments have pushed many nations to the brink of moral and financial bankruptcy. A heavy dependence upon academia is not sufficient for them to make wise decisions. Xulon Press author Jeff Claiborne's informative new title, The Young Person's Guide to Wisdom: A Biblical Guide to the Wisdom of God Revealed in Scripture ($16.99, paperback, 978-1-61579-877-3), fills the void of wisdom that exists in academia, families, and the government. This book provides the reader with both a theological and practical guidebook to biblical wisdom that is rarely found in modern secular and Christian books.

"The goal is for the reader to gain a biblical and practical understanding of both the meaning and the purpose of wisdom, resulting in wise discernment when making life decisions and resulting in a Christ-centered lifestyle," the author says. "As a result of gaining wisdom, the reader will understand God's will in their life, gain a daily repentance of sin, die to self daily, and carry a figurative daily cross, resulting in a daily resurrection in Christ."

In addition to 35 years of studying Scripture, Claiborne learned theology and church history while attending the Lighthouse Bible Institute in San Diego. He says, "Over the years, I have provided biblical counsel to many who faced difficult life decisions"--and hopes this book will help minister to others during these difficult times.
