Coming Clean: Healing for Sexual Brokenness

Pastors story offers a way back to purity and soul-cleansing

2008-04-17

LONGWOOD, FL-For nearly half his life, Walter Harvey has worked in and around the church and her people, whom he calls "the most dignified people you will ever meet." However, a deeper look into the lives of the same people reveals that many are hiding behind a mask. Sexual wounds, brokenness, and soul ties to past behaviors and people hinder them from being fully free in the service for God. In his book Who Touched Me? Healing the Wounds of Sexual Brokenness (paperback, 978-1-60477-642-3) Harvey offers hope and practical help for those who seek to drop the mask and "come out of the darkness."

"Forbidden sexual relationships leave fingerprints upon the souls of people, which only Jesus Christ can remove," says Harvey, who writes from experience–one who has experienced sexual brokenness in his past and been healed from it. "So few Christian books are revealing and transparent. Many are based on principles and theories, or they are especially silent on the subject of sexuality within the Christian context. Here is a Christian leader and author sharing not only biblical insights but insights into his own soul."

A minister with more than 20 years of Christian leadership, Harvey says he is delighted to share his own story of sexual brokenness and healing at the hands of the Great Physician. "I have learned that 'truth makes you free," he says. "I have also learned that multitudes of people within America's churches are simply waiting for someone to take the lead and show them the way to sexual healing. This book will reveal the pathway to their sexual healing and help in preparing those who will minister to the sexually broken without condemning them back into a world of sin." Walter Harvey is a prominent Christian leader in the greater Milwaukee region.
