LONGWOOD, FL-In his book Mother of All Living: Opening the Doors and Regaining Dominion (paperback, 978-1-60266-247-6; hardcover, 978-1-60266-248-3), author Andrew Roy tackles a topic of ongoing controversy within the church: women in ministry. His book aims to reestablish God's original plan for the church by rooting out the injustices and corrupt agendas that have caused competition between men and women. In addition, the book reminds women of their God-given authority, answers the question of women pastors and elders in the church, and helps men understand the beauty and value of this gift (women) God has given them.

"I hope readers will see without question the power of a woman who will not usurp the authority of the man but will take hold of the maternal authority God has always designed for her," says Roy. "When these two authorities come together as ordained by God, the zenith of power in the church will be as it has never been before."

The author has labored tirelessly for the reemergence of a shared dominion of the earth that God originally intended for the church. His dual education in theology and psychology provides a background for understanding the behavioral and mental health aspects of relationships and to apply them as confirmation of the biblical works of the flesh. "The church's malaise is causing a diminishing of authority as churches around the globe are conforming to the abandonment of maternal power," says Roy.

Andrew Roy is a professor at the Greater Harvest Bible College and Seminary in California. He has been a pastor and Bible teacher for the past 20 years. His secular education includes a master's degree in psychology with an emphasis on marriage and family therapy.
