LONGWOOD, FL-On May 1, 2005, the lives of author Terry M. Southers and his wife Stephanie were forever changed when an automobile accident took the lives of their 27-year-old daughter and their three-year-old granddaughter. Southers' Grace I Never Knew (paperback, 978-1-60477-999-8; hardcover, 978-1-60647-038-1) tells of their trauma, the emotions they experienced throughout their ordeal, and the grace that carried them through when they didn't think they could survive. In experiencing the grace necessary to get through the days following the accident, the couple has come to discover God as they never knew Him before. Their story proves all of GodÕs promises to be true?'that even in our darkest hours, He will never leave us nor forsake us.

Says the author, "What started out as a memoir for my grandchildren ultimately became a source of healing for my own broken and troubled heart. I believe this book can be a source of strength and encouragement to others who may be facing difficult times or struggles in their own lives."

In writing Grace I Never Knew, there were many times Southers says it became difficult to continue writing. Often, the temptation to just quit became a haunting reality. However, says the author, "I felt an overwhelming inspiration to continue this project until its completion because I was continually reminded it is a story that can be of help to others who may have [experienced] or who may be experiencing similar tragedies and heartaches."

Terry M. Southers and his wife Stephanie live in Grove City, Ohio, where they attend Canaan Land Free Will Baptist Church.
