LONGWOOD, FL--Throughout her life's journey, Xulon Press author Jamie Hill encountered hardships and adversity, but through it all, she learned she could rely on God to bring her from disaster to deliverance. Growing up as the product of a broken home, where drugs and alcohol were present, the author spent much of her time in and out of children's shelters and foster homes. Many times in her life she came near death through rape, drugs, and suicide attempts. But on a significant day in April of 2007, she came out of a horrible addiction of crack-cocaine and alcohol and committed her life to God through the precious blood of Jesus. In Inspiration on a Poetic Level ($10.99, paperback, 978-1-60477-739-0), her new release, the author recounts--in poignant verse--the personal growth she experienced in her spiritual life after coming to God.

Says Hill, who is today a happily married mother of three, "I believe that this book was destined by God to be written and spread all around the world to inspire and encourage everyone in some way or another. This book carries a special anointing from God, and even if only one soul is changed by the words inside, I believe it served its purpose. This may not make sense, but for some reason I can't give up or let go of my determination to get this book to souls in need everywhere."

Over the course of several years, God gave to Hill a word to write down on paper; soon, a book was in order. "The Master above is the [author], and without Him, I would be nothing and would have no word to write," the author says. "God has given a special gift to each of us to use to our fullest. This just happens to be one that He has provided me."
