LONGWOOD, FL--The devil takes millions of prisoners, both those within the church and those without. He carries them into his prisons and they do not know how they got there or how to escape. Most of them do not know they are in prison. The church seems to be helpless and totally defeated; it does not appear to even know there is a war going on. That is why author Richard C. Current penned Walking Through the Valley ($15.99, paperback, 978-1-60957-339-3; $25.99, hardcover, 978-1-60957-340-9, a new release from Xulon Press. Within the pages of this book, readers will follow the story of a man who was in that prison. Jesus set him free and commissioned him and his wife as officers in his army to travel the world teaching his body how to set the devil's prisoners free.

"Hundreds of years before Jesus came, Isaiah prophesied that Jesus would come to set the captives free," he says. "Jesus came and did what the prophet said He would do. Then He commanded the church to do likewise in His name and power. But the church in America has refused."

Current, a resident of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, personally experienced everything in this book, from being demon-possessed to being set free by Jesus. It was this liberation that filled him with a burning desire to help others. "I have found that the church in America is unreceptive to addressing the demonic problems of their congregation, and I hope this book will encourage and make possible more freedom for Christians," he explains.
