LONGWOOD, FL-Hidden within Christian homes, where smiling couples attend church and minister to one another, is the backdrop of sin, rude remarks, criticism, and constant antagonism. In Willard Simmons' new release, Living in the Heat of the Battle: Helping Husbands With Difficult Wives (paperback, 978-1-60647-071-8), the author paints a practical picture of husbands whose lives are impacted by living with wives who are embittered, angry, and very difficult to get along with. Within these pages is the strategy given by God on how to have victory, peace, and contentment even in the midst of turmoil.

Says Simmons, "If a man is ready for the challenge and willing to have faith in God's Word, he will be stretched spiritually in ways he thought he could never grow. Applying the biblical principles laid out in this book, a man will be able to deal with his contentious wife in ways that will bring glory to God and peace in the home. Within these pages is hope for the husband."

This uniquely crafted book is both biblical and practical in its application, derived from Simmons' 25 years' experience in the field of counseling. After witnessing firsthand this "hidden cancer" that was destroying marriages everywhere, the author resolved to come up with a sound, practical, and workable biblical strategy in helping men who find themselves caught in a bad marriage with a contentious wife. "Men who read this [will] gain hope and a way of doing it right," he says.

Willard Simmons lives in Southern California and works at The Master's College. He has a BS degree in social psychology from California Baptist University and a master's degree in biblical counseling from The Master's College.
