LONGWOOD, FL--When their infant son, Joshua, was at death's door, Xulon Press author Jenny Doss and her husband undertook a 12-day journey that changed their lives forever. What God revealed to them during those heart-wrenching days, she says, changed them. In More Precious Than Gold: A True Story of Triumph Over Tragedy ($17.99, paperback, 978-1-60791-107-4; $27.99, hardcover, 978-1-60791-158-6), the author gives her testimony how God used the greatest crisis of her life as a catalyst to help build the foundation she needed to help others in crisis.

Says Doss, "While no one wants to go through trials, life doesn't always give us that choice. Yet it is often in unexpected crises that we are given the opportunity for God to teach us things we've never known. From that knowledge, He desires to do remarkable things through us to help make an eternal difference in the lives of others."

A Christian counselor and director of a counseling ministry, Doss says her life was completely transformed by God's love, grace, and ability to do things in and through her that she would have never imagined. "My book reveals that sometimes it has taken the hard things to get my attention because I am human," the author explains. "But being human and making mistakes is no excuse to fall short of fulfilling the purposes for which we were created. No matter who we are or what we have been through, God can use us to affect the destiny of multitudes."

Jenny Doss is a graduate of the University of Montevallo in Alabama and is a wife and mother of five.
