Choosing life: The cost and reward of making a godly decision

Book challenges argument that rape is justification for abortion

LONGWOOD, FL-Giving birth to a child of rape is a godly decision that gives life to the child and the mother. Unplanned pregnancies happen for many reasons, often as the result of the mother's victimization. Missy's Choice (paperback, 978-1-60477-985-1) is a life-changing book that challenges current thinking about the abortion decision in a rape situation. The easy choice is death, but choosing to abort the unborn child - the tiniest victim of rape - visits the sin of the father on the child. The tough choice to make is life for mother and child, and choosing life brings healing and hope for them both. Missy's Choice portrays how God is faithful to redeem our pain and suffering for His glory and is able to heal to the utmost those who seek Him.

The author presents truth in a readable, compelling manner with humor and conviction. Readers will learn to appreciate the costs and rewards of choosing life. As Snead states, "Although the Christian life is not without trial, making godly choices creates ripples of healing life that flow out to those around us. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes with the morning light."

Charlotte Snead founded a pregnancy care ministry in 1985 and continues to sit on the board of the Central West Virginia Center for Pregnancy Care.
