LONGWOOD, FL-Dipo Toby Alakija's debut novel, The Vessel of Destruction ($13.99, paperback, 978-1-60477-395-8), hit bookstores recently, and the story's relevancy lies in the fact that so many families today are being almost completely wiped out by demonic activities. The story's protagonists, Mark and Diana, labor to build a virtuous family home. But when Mark's aunt introduces something strange into the family-demons-the effect was something no one could possibly forget. Diana is selected as the vessel to destroy her own family and, before long, Mark knows his family needs to be rescued from the strange forces in his home. He seeks desperately for help until a young man comes with the Word?'uninvited, of course.

Says Alakija, "[I hope] that everyone [who] reads the book will understand that so many evil events are characterized and influenced by unseen creatures called demons. These demons are so powerful that only through the power of God can anyone overcome them."

A pastor, communicator, newspaper columnist, screenwriter, and songwriter, Alakija has had many previous works published in Nigeria, but The Vessel of Destruction marks the first time his work has been available globally. He gathered his facts about witchcraft from interviews with Africans who once practiced it. The author hopes that, with the broad sphere of readership, he will be able to present things that are happening in the spiritual realm to unsuspecting victims of the devil.

Dipo Toby Alakija is the president of Calvary Rock Network and resides in Nigeria.
