Authors encounter with the spiritual world exposes frightening reality

LONGWOOD, FL-In June 2005, the day after the wife of author Patrick K. Canon, MD, told him she wanted a divorce, he fell to his knees in repentance and begged Jesus Christ to save him. The next day, says the author, he 'felt so new and alive that I wanted to jump out of my shoes! That same day I experienced a glimpse of God's glory that I can only try to describe." And describe it he does, in his Xulon Press title The Light of the World: Let Freedom Ring! ($9.99, paperback, 978-1-60477-380-4) Canon's supernatural encounter with the spiritual world reveals to all that there are spiritual forces at war for our minds and souls. He tells his story to expose this frightening reality and to help others understand the events that are happening in our world today.

Says the board-certified ophthalmologist, "[I hope that readers] will be inspired in some way, and that they may have hope no matter what they might have done or what crisis they may be in today or tomorrow! For those who do not know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, my prayer is that many will know Him for who He really is, accept Him as their Lord and Savior now, and then spend eternity in heaven!"

Canon is of the belief that humanity is running out of time until the rapture, so he chose to share his message at a critical period in man's history. The truth, he says, is in him "because Christ lives in me. I was crucified in the flesh. People will either believe me or not. The choice is theirs to make for all eternity."

Patrick K. Canon, MD, currently resides in Kansas, where he enjoys the outdoors, listening to music, reading, biking, tennis, golf, and spending time with his daughter.
