LONGWOOD, FL--In today's world, words of hope, faith, and love are desperately needed given that so much destruction and despair is prevalent. To Donna M. Kiel, those words came in the form of Scripture verses and the comfort of God's Word in the midst of a very turbulent time of her life. Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) on May 26, 2006, the author found she could no longer work due to escalating symptoms. Since she had to stay home, she wanted to try writing a book so that others might learn from her experiences. Now, with the release of He Was There Even When I Was Unaware and so Was MS (I Am so Sorry I Got Sick) ($11.99, paperback, 978-1-60791-421-1; $19.99, hardcover, 978-1-60791-422-8), the author shares how God has played a very important part in her life every step of the way and how, like Jonas, she ran from Him but He never let her go.

Says Kiel, "He is always there and will never leave your side, regardless of where you are in life. I want people to take away from this book a feeling of hope and importance because so many times we give in too easily and or we try to accomplish tasks on our agenda which ultimately fail. People need to get this."

Born in Chicago's West Side in 1958, Kiel aspired to do better than what was expected. She went the traditional college route, earning both a bachelor's and master's degree before eventually working for corporate giants like Merrill Lynch, IBM, and Siemens. She has lived with MS for close to eight or nine years, and during this time she saw how God made her diagnosis great by presenting opportunities and learning experiences that she might not have had until much later in life--or until it was too late.
