LONGWOOD, FL--Today, mainstream Christendom seems to have a prioritized obsession with physical, temporary blessings associated with the world. As the rapid progression of each moment transpires, the temporary status or nature of the medium designated as "time" becomes ever more apparent. Now if this is a fact--and it is--then the priority of Christians must be invested in that which is firmly positioned in those things which are foundational or fixed. Unfortunately, much of Christendom has not grasped the solid foundation of the truth of God's Word--which is why author George D. Cutler has penned Malfunctioning Secularized Ministries in Today's Churches ($14.99, paperback, 978-1-60957-448-2), a new title from Xulon Press.

Within the pages of this book, the author decries today's modern churches' ministering to the trendiness of prioritizing physicality over spirituality. Factually stated, substantial fractions of today's church ministries unashamedly cater to whatever appeals the most to the masses. This entails resonating with what is secular and/or material rather than spiritual and/or consecrated.

"Here the challenge offered for evaluation is what are more significant, temporary earthly possessions or eternally heavenlies' inheritances," the author says. "Scriptural assessments document the instructions and directives specifically conveyed for church ministries' functioning and operating, as contrasted with the popular accepted practices so prevailingly displayed in the more prominently recognized religious institutions."
