LONGWOOD, FL" The Narrow Way Handbook on Discipleship ($14.99, paperback, 9781613790298) follows the journey of discipleship beginning with the conversion and water baptism through the training of Jesus’ Character. Author Jim Clark explains that discipleship requires the maturity and experience of spirit, soul and body in one. The goal, of course, is for every disciple to serve God. The present day American church experience, however, usually produces an ill-prepared ?"leader” that typically fails and, as a result, leaves the church and often his Lord. The Narrow Way discusses the aspects and processes from which true leaders and servants come from.

In The Narrow Way, Clark’s mission is to inform people that effective, consistent discipleship is lacking in the Church. Due to Clark’s 30 years of ministry experience, he is able to identify room for improvement within the Christian ministry. The implementation of church order, government and true accountability gained by discipleship is the core. He explains that being a Christian is not automatic because one is a church member. Like raising children, Clark explains that maturing in the church is a lifetime process.

Jim Clark is the founder of Ministers Training Institute which has been training five-fold ministry for thirty years. In apostolic form he has planted churches and has overseen pastors since the 1980s. Presently he spends his time writing ?"spiritually technical” books to assist present day ministry. Clark received his BA from William Carey College, his MDiv from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctorate from Vision International University.
