LONGWOOD, FL -- Remember to Laugh... ($20.99, paperback, 9781613791509; $32.99, hardcover, 9781613791516) was inspired by a family's journey of rising above a bad
situation with God by their side. After author Cindy Blackmore's husband was left paralyzed from the chin down and
completely ventilator dependent due to a bicycle accident, she experienced five
years of facing challenges and witnessing miracles. After the accident,
Blackmore started sending out e-mails to update a growing number of family and
friends. The couple spent the next five years sharing their story at churches of
many denominations as well as other venues.
The Blackmores received amazing stories of how this story
changed lives and how some found God because of it. Remember to
Laugh... includes all of
these miracles and stories they witnessed on this journey. Blackmore hopes that
in sharing this story it will serve two purposes: it will help others who are
traveling the tough road of paralysis and it will help strengthen the faith of
anyone who takes the time to read it. Blackmore expressed that she sees God in
everything that happens her life; she knows that He has a reason for every
wrinkle and every smile in everyday.
Cindy Gittemeier Blackmore resides in Cairo, MO in the
home where she raised three children with her husband, Darwin. She and Darwin
had been married 24 years when he was injured in the bicycle accident. Together
they showed others how God provided for them and, in return, witnessed many
proclaim their faith in God. Blackmore continues to be active in her community
and enjoys volunteering for her church, photography, fishing and working with
teens.
