It was here that God ended up touching Terry, a little princess, in that mountain paradise. A unique bond was formed between them, never to be broken or tarnished. “Terry passed away in 2007, but her dream and legacy live on to rid the world of MS and improve the quality of life for those affected by this debilitating disease,” the author’s husband says. “She was always willing to help someone and had a smile on her face.”
Born in Indio, California, Terry moved to Big Bear Lake at the beginning of first grade. It was here her creativity thrived, as she began to sketch and paint the beautiful landscape around her. In the 1980s, multiple sclerosis started to affect her hand control, which made drawing lines and shapes virtually impossible. Even though she had trouble doing other things, she was able to continue to draw. As the years passed, she lost the ability to use her arms and hands but never once lost faith in her heavenly Father or her husband. “My biggest hope and dream is that someday someone will know enough about this horrible disease to figure out where it comes from and how to beat it,” she says.
