MAITLAND, FL— Each day consists of situations and
emotions that can bog a person’s life down with dead weight. Most people let
their emotions dictate their life and every decision made, Dr. Bill Purvis,
however, has issued a challenge to his readers and that is for people to take
back their life by conquering their emotions. His new book, Emotion
Driven Life ($14.99, paperback, 978-1-61904-507-1; $7.49, eBook, 978-1-61904-508-8), provides the necessary tools needed to
combat negative emotions and help readers regain control by letting the love of
Christ rule their heart. When God is at the helm, it eliminates the stress from
and individual’s shoulders and makes the burdens of life and little less
cumbersome.
“This book will give you the tools
you need to conquer your negative emotions and take back your life,” states
Purvis. “Emotions are fluid, always flowing. If your life is driven by
ever-changing emotions, then you’ll never be able to direct your destiny.
Emotion driven people always miss out on the best experiences. This is not God’s
will for us. In this book, we are going to explore emotions that can rob you of
your potential and help you get control of them, so that you can reach your
destiny.”
Dr. Bill Purvis has been a pastor
for over thirty years. Two weeks before his spiritual conversion, a young
witness for Christ told him everything he was looking for could be found in
Jesus. It was just after the author had been stabbed three times with a butcher
knife and left for dead that he asked the Lord to come into his life and
repented of his sins. That life-altering decision was the catalyst for change
and his transformation resulted in an undeniable love for God and an urgency to
tell others of Jesus. He attended Opelika State College and has earned several
degrees from Luther Rice Seminary as well as The Southern California
Theological Seminary.
