MAITLAND, FL Within the pages of John Schettine’s new book, The Fueh’rer’s Redemption ($11.99, paperback, 978-1-61996-407-5; $19.99, hardcover, 978-1-61996-408-2; $5.99, e-book, 978-1-61996-409-9), the true mission is to deepen the readers’ understanding that the Lord is merciful to anyone who repents. The book’s setting is during World War II and features an alternative circumstance for Adolf Hitler. The author’s hope is to shed God’s love through Christ in this book.

The story is unique in that it takes one of the worst villains in history, and we see the Lord transforming him into a true child of God,” states the author. “It is meant to show that God is love and certainly works in mysterious and miraculous ways - that through trusting him and power of prayer, there is no limit to the resources of the Lord and His Kingdom.”

Born and raised in Schenectady, NY, John Schettine did not respond to the Lord’s call on his life until the age of twenty-seven. Before knowing Christ, he lived a life filled with drugs, alcohol abuse, violence, and incarceration. After the heartbreak of divorce, John hitchhiked throughout the United States and Canada in the late 1970s to try to heal and find himself. Instead, the Lord found him – pulling him from the miry clay, as the song says. He has been a Christian for three decades. He has two grown children who follow Jesus and three grandchildren.
