MAITLAND, FL— Horizon’s 2005 National Clinician Of The Year, Jeff Chapman, has released his new book, Don’t Forget Your Shield! ($14.99, paperback, 978-1-61996-029-9; $22.99, hardcover, 978-1-61996-030-5; $7.49, e-book, 978-1-61996-031-2) Chapman uses twenty entertaining, modern day parables that are relatable and easy for children to understand. In addition, each story concludes with instruction designed to equip readers with the knowledge or “shield” necessary to protect them from daily challenges.

“In today’s complicated world, young people are often overwhelmed by negative influences that steer them down the wrong path,” states the author. “Sometimes this results in long-term consequences. My book is based on Christian principles and is a quick and painless way for parents to equip their children to successfully navigate through the ‘real world’. Readers will develop the skills necessary to avoid the many traps and pitfalls that await them.”

Jeff Chapman has enjoyed a lengthy career as a Licensed Therapist. During that time, he has provided therapy for many young people and families. Jeff recently established “Shield The World Foundation”. The foundation was established to provide financial, organizational, and fundraising resources necessary to create unique opportunities for Christians to share the gospel while enhancing the quality of life for individuals around the world, targeting those that have limited resources and/or few opportunities to hear the word of God. Proceeds from the book will go towards this cause.
