The essence of this story is for children to always be kind and helpful.

The book reaches out to handicapped and non-handicapped children,” states the author. “Readers will see the love between the siblings and their thoughtfulness to others. They can relate to the story and see images of positive behavior. I hope the readers will think about being kind every day, because in doing so… lives can be enriched.

Glenda Barnes is the mother of two grown children and she dedicates this book to them. She has been giving back to her community since the age of ten. She is currently an instructional assistant for children who have special needs. Of her up-bringing, the author expresses “My parents tried to instill discipline, kindness, helpfulness, love and the Lord in all of us six children. It seemed that my parents were always doing kind things for other individuals.”
