Dr. Barry Amacker earned a bachelor of science from the University of South Alabama and later earned a master’s degree in education from the same university. He went on to receive a doctorate in education from Nova Southeastern University and now serves as the Superintendent of Education for Jackson County in Mississippi. Along with maintaining his professional career, Dr. Amacker has served as minister of music for various churches and currently hosts a daily radio program with his wife, Kathy, which covers the southern counties of Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and parts of Florida. He is also the author of These Old Shoes.
