Lois Werth Mimbs is a farm girl from Illinois who followed her lifelong dream to teach school. She earned a B.S. degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham and went on to teach at the Alabama State School for Deaf in Talladega. She married a minister, and worked side-by-side with her beloved Al for forty-five years until his illness forced him to retire. Mimbs sings, plays the piano for church and a local care center. The author’s musical album, entitled "Songs for Caregivers", is being released shortly after the book’s publication.
