MAITLAND, FL— Within the pages of Steven Atwood’s new book, Our Choice! A Journey of Life and Faith ($16.99, paperback, 978-1-62419-070-4; $8.49, e-book, 978-1-62419-071-1) readers will discover how forgiveness and showing the love of God can help a family grow together. The main character, Sarah, is faced with teen pregnancy and she has to choose whether abortion is the right solution. Through this realistic struggle, Sarah’s family has to deal with several emotions, including anger and hurt; they finally choose the route of support and love.

“Today, teenagers are getting messages about abortion is normal, almost to the point where it is expected,” states the author. “The choice is not whether or not to have an abortion, but to have sex in the first place. The book is laced with biblical inferences. For example, there is one scene where the Sarah is at her lowest point and believes she is beyond redemption. She is told to ‘go and sin no more’. This is a reference to the Mary Magdalene story in the gospel.”

Steven Atwood was born in 1970 in Hyannis, Massachusetts. He is a loving husband of twelve years and father of two boys and one girl. He is a devout Christian and he taught Sunday school in El Paso, Texas.
