MAITLAND, FL— The mission of Rev. Sam Oppong’s new book, Communicating The Gospel Across Cultures, The African Perspective ($10.99, paperback, 978-1-62509-546-6; $5.99, e-book, 978-1-62509-547-3) is to help Christians understand the African culture to effectively communicate the Gospel to Africans and people of other cultures. According to the author, there is much more to expressing the Good News of Jesus Christ than the actual message. Rev. Oppong shares on how to convey the Gospel to anyone, anywhere in the world, in the best way possible.

“Readers will understand the importance of every culture and begin to look for bridges in them,” states the author. “These bridges can be used effectively to communicate the Gospel. Effective communication cannot take place until you understand the way of life and the worldview of the people.”

Rev. Sam Oppong holds a post-graduate Diploma in Missions from The Bible Institute of South Africa and a Diploma in Missiology from MOC London. He is an African, and worked with Ghana Evangelism Committee for seventeen years (1975–1992), and was a member of the team, which conducted the first ever-national church survey in Ghana.
