Tilleraas exposes little-known facts about the Nation of Islam, Elijah Muhammad

MAITLAND, FL— Curtis J. Tilleraas’s new book, This Side of Paradise: The Religious World of Elijah Muhammad ($14.99, paperback, 978-1-62230-348-9; $7.49, e-book, 978-1-62230-630-5) carefully examines the ‘religious world’ of Elijah Muhammad, the man who created the theology of the Nation of Islam. The author expounds, “It is a theology that calls for the complete separation of the races, because the white race is not even human—it is, rather, Satan/the Devil incarnate.” Tilleraas has written this work from a theological standpoint, using verifiable truth.

“[This book] gives readers an up close look at a religion that was made in America, and a god who was made in America, by a man who claimed to be a Muslim,” states the author. “I hope it will also serve as a wake-up call to American Christians who believe in freedom of religion, tolerance and diversity, more than they believe in the God who came to earth and declared: ‘I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and no one comes to the Father but through me.’”

Curtis J. Tilleraas is an Evangelical Christian, ordained Lutheran pastor, and a former Old Catholic Priest. While at Luther Seminary, in St. Paul, MN, he earned a Master’s degree in Islamic Studies as well as an M.Div. degree. Although the author’s Islamic Studies courses focused on what is considered orthodox Islam (Sunni and Shiite), his thesis was based on a study of Islam in America, and especially the unorthodox teachings of Elijah Muhammad.
