MAITLAND, FL— Within the pages of Christel Decker Bresko’s new book, Mother, If in Heaven There Are No Apples, I Don't Want to Go There ($14.99, paperback, 978-1-62419-998-1; $7.49, e-book, 978-1-62419-999-8) readers will gain an intimate understanding of a pivotal time in world history. Through her personal experience, the author remarks, “Children can storm the weather of war and with much adversity, coupled with true love, protection and much prayer.” Bresko details how God used unique circumstances to mold her into the person she eventually became as an adult.

“Being the oldest of my siblings, I felt the need to capture some of the history of my ancestry, since both of my parents have passed on to Glory land,” states the author. “One can follow a red thread from the beginning of the book until the last page, how the Lord Jesus Christ can equip a person for His service.”

Now retired, Christel Decker Bresko enjoys travel, walking, swimming, reading, and writing in her spare time. “Writing this book added great joy and spice to my Golden Years, not just remembering but to keep my past alive. Mother and father, who both have passed on, left me with a great legacy. They wanted me to see the world, find happiness, and pursue life to the fullest. My sister and brother added gold, frankincense, and myrrh—which in my belief—are riches, sweet odor, and integrity. It was a great experience to finish this soon to be a ‘book.’” Bresko has also authored “Living in a Land Where No Apples Grow,” a continuation of this book.
