MAITLAND, FL— David and Dennis Odiwo’s new book, The State and I ($27.99, paperback, 978-1-62697-345-9; $9.99, e-book, 978-1-62697-346-6) weaves an ample dose of Nigerian history, and its effects on current events, into a story of survival by God’s grace. This work is an autobiography penned by a father-son duo, based on accounts provided by David Odiwo (father) and compiled by Dennis Odiwo (son).

“In addition to sharing the story of my father’s life and birthplace, the book reminds us that we will all go through difficult times but God has promised to lead us through the difficulties we face according to His grace,” states co-author, Dennis Odiwo. “I hope readers learn to be thankful even in our tough circumstances, and to rejoice always like the apostle Paul because God who is always with us will lead us through the storms of life.”

Dennis Odiwo is a Software Engineer and debuting author. His first publication, “The State and I” was published in April 2013. He loves God, family and soccer. David Odiwo was a military officer in the Nigerian Army and Air Force during the nation’s formative years.
