MAITLAND, FL— C.D. McMillan’s new book, The
Scars of the Chosen ($15.49, paperback, 9781626973497;
$7.99, e-book, 9781626975200) exposes
the shocking effects of child abuse (both in children and adults) in hopes of sparking a movement among future
generations towards child abuse prevention. This book calls its audience to
action. The author’s mission is to challenge readers to evaluate past or
present issues in their own lives, therefore igniting the desire for change in
today’s world.
“I’m willing to share my own pains of child abuse and work with others to create options and prevention for children in hopes to have a future face of productive adults,” states the author. “World leaders, mothers, fathers, etc., were once children and as the world changes, how we value our children now can or will produce their destruction or drive them towards their destiny.”
C.D. McMillan lives with her two sons in Louisville, Kentucky, where she is a member of Canaan Christian Church. A victim of child abuse, Ms. McMillan has found healing and nurture in her relationship with God. She prays for families to heal from the evil of abuse and to be restored through the work of the Holy Spirit, and she believes that her books will be a part of that process.
