Bruxvoort pens a collection of hopeful devotionals inspired by Revelation

2013-10-23

MAITLAND, FL— In his new book, Face to Face: Devotional Encounters with the Living God in Revelation ($14.99, paperback, 9781628396805; $7.99, e-book, 9781628396812) Kenton J. Bruxvoort provides readers with fifty practical, daily devotionals based on the book of Revelation. Instead of using one of the most controversial books in the Bible to instill fear in believers, the author brings encouragement and a reminder to Christians of the hope in the power of Jesus.

“Revelation comforts us, reminding us that at the end of time, God’s children—claimed by God and having exchanged mortality for immortality—will look into God’s lovely and loving eyes and will live with him forever,” states the author. “Readers of ‘Face to Face’ will gain a practical understanding of Revelation: how it challenges Christians toward daily living for God and how it offers hope that is centered in Jesus’ power and in Jesus’ intimacy, now and to the end of time.”

Kenton J. Bruxvoort is a life-long student of the Bible and a long-time teacher of adult discipleship in Reformed and Lutheran churches. He prepared the devotions in “Face to Face” as supplementary materials to teaching at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fort Collins, Colorado. He holds Bachelors and Master’s degrees in civil engineering and a Master of Business Administration degree with a finance concentration, and is a consulting civil engineer.
