MAITLAND, FL— In her new book, Kindergarten Lessons I Learned in Africa ($15.49, paperback, 9781628397987; $7.99, e-book, 9781628397994) Claudia Thomason shares experiences from abroad that only come once in a lifetime. Readers will learn a simple, yet profound, lesson in each chapter by way of amusing, real-life stories. The book serves to encourage its audience, reminding all that, “…even in difficult circumstances, God is aware of His children’s needs and is ready to save, heal, deliver and bless.”

“In these days of global upheaval, government shutdowns and mass tragedies, God is still aware and at work in individual lives,” states the author. “He never looks away, even for a moment, and is not caught by surprise. The stories emphasize that we can rest in that knowledge.”

Claudia Thomason, who lives in northern Arizona, is the parent of two adult children and grandparent to three precious grandchildren. She was ordained into the ministry in 2008. Most of her employment history involves working with children—as a victim advocate for abused kids; as a trainer on crime victims’ rights; as a therapeutic foster parent; as a volunteer Sunday School teacher for eight years; and as School Sponsorship Director for Reaching Kids International. Taking four short-term missions trips in five years to Africa to teach children about God’s love was natural. Each trip was full of adventures involving not only the children, but also the culture clash experienced by the missionaries. These stories are her unique memories of the people and places.
