MAITLAND, FL— Stephen Anthony Hill’s new book, SOUL searching ($24.99, paperback, 9781629520186; $9.99, e-book, 9781629520193) follows protagonist Alex, who is a biotechnology executive with a passion for science and faith. As he plans a major conference on those topics, he becomes embroiled in a bioterrorist attack, which leaves the population of the planet infertile. Advances in human cloning promise a route to repopulating the world. Unfortunately, this will be a world without the influence of God.

“We live increasingly in a world in which it is assumed that thoughtful individuals must choose between either a scientific worldview or a theistic worldview,” states the author. “This fictional account works on the premise that science and faith are wholly compatible. I am not aware of too many fictional accounts which aim to demonstrate this compatibility in an exciting and engaging manner.”

Stephen Hill is a qualified physician/surgeon with over twenty-five years experience as a biopharmaceutical industry executive. He has led research, development and commercial programs at major pharmaceutical companies, as well as smaller entrepreneurial biotechnology companies, including the CEO role at a biodefense company. Doctor Hill was born in the United Kingdom, has lived in the U.S.A. since 1999 and is now a proud citizen of the U.S. He is married to his wife, Julie, and has two college-aged children, Molly and Jess. He attends Northpoint community church in Alpharetta, Georgia. He has a passion for the interface between science and faith, and hopes to provoke respectful dialogue on that topic. He wrote SOUL searching with long-time friend and colleague Julian Cope, an expert in drama, communications and presentation skills training.
