MAITLAND, FL— Stuart E. Smith’s new book, The
Adventures of Luke and Lydia ($11.99, paperback, 9781629521664; $5.99, e-book, 9781629521671) is a sweet children’s book that
was inspired by real life testimonies. At the very core of this vibrant, color
book is the message that, “Children are all beautifully and wonderfully made.”
So far, The Adventures of Luke and Lydia
has touched many hearts, and the author hopes for a continued positive impact
on readers, both young and old. Smith dedicates this book to his late wife,
Lisa, and their three children.
“I hope that, first, they will love the characters and be excited about the story,” states the author. “Then I pray they will absorb the message that they are unique, and that God loves them.”
Born in Dothan, Alabama, Stuart E. Smith enjoyed making up stories at an early age. He would entertain his little brother, and as an adult, his children, nieces and nephews with all kinds of fantastic tales. He and his late wife had been host parents to twenty young men and women since 1992, from eleven different countries. Stuart has served as youth leader, coach, pastor, press box announcer, radio show host, and volunteer on behalf of young people in his community. His hobbies now include flying as a student pilot. As his adventure continues, he encourages all youth to recognize that God has given each of them gifts and talents.
