MAITLAND, FL— Within his new book, I’m Blind… What’s Your Excuse? ($15.49, paperback, 9781629525631; $7.99, e-book, 9781629525648) Dr. Ron Lester drives home the point that nothing is impossible with God’s help. The author’s desire is to inspire readers to step up, and embrace the calling that has been placed on each of their lives. Dr. Ron teaches by example, as he has done exactly that, despite blindness and hearing loss.

“No matter your weakness, God has a purpose for your life,” states the author. “The time has come to stop making excuses why you cannot do something. Each of us has a destiny, and God stands ready to help us achieve it.”

Dr. Ron Lester is a Vietnam-era veteran who lost his sight as a result of a hereditary eye disease called retinitis pigmentosa. Despite his blindness, Dr. Lester is an experienced educator and ordained minister who serves in the United States and abroad. He and his wife, Betty, have two adult sons and are the proud grandparents of eight grand children. Dr. Lester makes his home in Tucson, Arizona, where he is active in the local church. He travels nationally to minister, and to represent blinded veterans. Dr. Lester’s work is autobiographical. He is an authority on what he writes and speaks because he has personally experienced the hand of God on his life, developing him into what he is today.
