MAITLAND, FL— Within his new book, God's Providence, My Privilege: Miracles of the Winston-Salem Rescue Mission, ($15.49, paperback, 9781498401036; $7.99, e-book, 9781498401043) A. Neal Wilcox shares the story of two young people that were brought together after they surrendered their lives to Christ. By faith, the two moved to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to establish a rescue mission to which they devoted themselves for thirty-three years in service to the Lord. Thousands of hungry, homeless, and hurting men have received both physical and spiritual nourishment with hundreds accepting the salvation that can only be found in Jesus Christ.

“Thousands of homeless people wandering the streets need to know that they can become children of God, who have the same standing before Him as anyone else,” states the author. “When I surrendered my life to Christ and His service, He called me to minister to these forgotten souls, and by word and deeds, show them the love He has for them. Through my own life’s circumstances, God created a heart in me overflowing with love and compassion that he so graciously called me to share with these hurting people.”

Despite being raised without a father, by elderly grandparents, and only an occasional visit by his mother; God was ever present protecting, providing, preparing, and ultimately calling A. Neal Wilcox to start the Winston-Salem Rescue Mission. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bob Jones University. The author has served as vice-president and president of the Southeastern District of Rescue Missions, and on the board of the International Union of Gospel Rescue Missions (IUGM).
