Dr. Linda M. Combs is an educator who holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in teaching from Sam Houston State University and advanced degrees, Master of Education and Doctor of Education, from Texas A&M University. During her thirty-two year career, she has acquired extensive training and experience in project and human resources management. Dr. Combs is the owner builder described in this book. She had direct interaction with the owner builder network advisors, and personally interviewed and developed agreements with contractors who were selected. In addition, she prepared and submitted all aspects of the project budget, including: developing and obtaining the construction loan, paying contractors, and transitioning to the mortgage loan.
